More About Julie
Julie Morris has a unique ability to step into the world of children and tune in to their unique personalities. She studied Psychology and Computer Science at The Univeristy of Auckland, giving her the insight to bring out the best in children, and a grasp of technology which helps her produce exceptional photographs.
Julie has been passionate about photography since her own childhood, and is always expanding her skills. Her two small children provide wonderful subjects, including her son who has special needs: a congenital disorder called Cri-du-Chat Syndrome. This affects him with global developmental delay as well as extra difficulties in communication and muscle strength. He's a fantastic kid and a real delight, but can be difficult to get to know. In photographing him, Julie embraces the extra challenge of bringing out a personality that sometimes shows up in unconventional ways.
